Places we like to visit at Westdene Tots

It is a requirement of the EYFS that children are exposed to play time outside each day. There are huge benefits to being outdoors, including; exposure to vitamin D, enabling children to be more physically active and make larger movements, building an appetite, helping create healthy sleep patterns and promoting their learning and development in all of the seven areas. Therefore we get out and about as much as we can, even if it’s raining. The only time we will not play outside is when it is dangerous to do so. So please provide waterproofs and appropriate footwear for your children.
Let me know if there is somewhere your child loves to visit and we will go!

The local parks – Westdene Park. Preston Park Patcham Park, Stanmer Park and the peace gardens in Patcham.
